Dr. Fadi Safieddine
Associate professor in Management Information Systems, Dr. Fadi Safieddine completed his PhD in E-commerce at University of East London. His role involves lecturing, course leadership, course validation, syllabus planning, course redesign, content update, seminars, research, and other scholar activities.
Dr. Safieddine has over eighteen years of experience in Higher Education and as Member of British Computer Society (MBCS) he has been actively involved in university accreditations for BIS courses in the UK. Dr. Safieddine is rated by students as one of the best lecturers in delivery, organization and content. Reaching the finals twice as best lecturer of the year in London for 2013 and 2014; and winner of AUM Business College Outstanding Contribution to University Life 2015. His teaching philosophy takes full advantage of a variety of E-media technologies while maintaining a personal face-to-face interaction with his students.
A keen researcher in the areas of applying technology in education, sustainability in Higher Education, green teaching, and combating online misinformation; Dr. Safieddine has several international academic publications in this field. He also has several academic contributions in the form of book publications, chapter contributions, and research direction funding.

Wassim Masri received his PhD in Computer Science from Paul Sabatier University (Toulouse, France) in 2009, M.Sc. in Computer Science from ENSEEIHT – INPT (France) in 2005, and B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Lebanese University in 2004.
He has been an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology in the American University of the Middle East in Kuwait since 2012. He is the Department Chair of the Technology Department since 2013. His duties include supporting the Dean in achieving the mission of AUM and the College of Engineering and Technology, ensuring the implementation of the academic strategies, policies and procedures of the university and the College, implementing quality assurance processes to ensure that the learning outcomes of the degrees offered by the department are achieved, identifying curricular needs, designing course offerings, recruiting new faculty members for the Technology Department, serving on the ABET Accreditation committee for the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and leading the departmental committees in charge of getting the accreditation of the Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) for both IST and TNT majors.
His primary research interest is in Wireless Sensor Networks, Internet of Things, Cloud Systems, and Social Networks. His teaching interests include: programming, visual programming, networks, databases, project management and software engineering. He is an IEEE member, member of the Computing Society and Co-founder of the IEEE Kuwait Chapter, and an IET member in the Kuwait Network.

Dr. Milan Djordjevic received his Ph.D. in theoretical computer science from University of Primorska in 2012. He wrote his doctoral dissertation at FAMNIT. Before joining American University of the Middle East as Assistant Professor in Computer Science department, Dr. Djordjevic worked at the University of Primorska and The John Naisbitt University. As a computer scientist and researcher, Dr. Djordjevic has published 17 papers and articles, and contributed in 4 international research projects. In addition, he is a member of IET.

Pardis Pourghomi is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the American University of the Middle East (AUM) in Kuwait. Prior to joining AUM, he worked as an Information Security Consultant in one of the largest UK’s mortgage lenders called Coventry Building Society. Before that, he worked as a part-time lecturer at Brunel University London while acting as a subject-matter expert in a number of cyber security projects. He received his BSc (Hons), MSc and PhD, all in Information Security, from University of East London (2009), Royal Holloway, University of London (2010) and Brunel University London (2014) respectively. He is an active researcher/author with publications in a number of conferences, journals and white papers. His current research interests revolve around applied security and privacy architectures especially in the field of smart cards. His main academic research interests include design of secure authentication protocols, mobile payments, NFC, communication architectures, transport ticketing security. Growing areas of interest include maximizing the role of Cloud in IoT, security management, and ethical issues in social media.
